There are a number of upcoming events sponsored directly by TK9 or in association with TK9.

Police Dog Events

We have a number of exciting police dog events coming up in the next 6 months. First, we will be holding Police K9 decoy seminars in Baltimore MD and Kingsport TN. Our decoy seminars are geared toward teaching decoys more than just the mechanics of proper decoy work, but teaching decoys how to properly function as the reward mechanism for the dog, so they learn improved techniques for training building and area searches, out on command, call-offs and the like. Decoys learn how to catch in the front, in the legs and how to train equipment orientation out of the dog – any dog!

We also have a seminar with Brad Smit of the West Covina police department, and Canine Tac Ops. The CATS school will be run in december, also in Baltimore, and will be geared toward high risk patrol operations with the patrol K9. http://www.k9tacops.com/index.asp

Finally in March 2009, Terry Fleck will join us in Baltimore for a K9 Legal update course. http://www.k9fleck.org/ Terry’s course is excellent, and the standard for Legal update in detection, Patrol and tracking. If you are due for a legal update, the March class will bring you current.
