Tarheel Canine offers ongoing support with every K9 sold, starting with our guarantees, and continuing with lifetime free in-service training and lifetime free recertification through Tarheel Canine Training Inc.

Health Guarantee:

Tarheel Canine Training, Inc. will unconditionally guarantee that the dogs will pass the physical health standards as set forth by the purchasing department. Tarheel Canine will guarantee replacement for any congenital health defect that limits the ability of the canine to perform its duties, according to the purchasing department's veterinarian and trainers, for a period not to exceed 2 years from date of delivery. Health records and hip x-rays will be provided with each dog.

Performance Guarantee:

Tarheel Canine Training Inc. guarantees that the K9 provided to the purchasing department will meet the expectations of the department in terms of temperament and working ability, provided that the K9 team completes the 3-week handler's course, and in addition the handler of the K9 keeps proper documentation of maintenance training and deployment usage as described in the K9 handler's manual. Further the K9 team shall attend and document in-service training either with Tarheel Canine Training Inc. or another certified police dog trainer who is a certified full time police officer working for a police department, sheriff's office, or federal law enforcement agency (and not a private trainer in competition with Tarheel Canine Training Inc.). Should the team not meet the expectations of the department after a suitable opportunity for remediation, the K9 shall be replaced at the mutual convenience of the purchasing agency and Tarheel Canine Training Inc, allowing for suitable time to procure and train a replacement K9.

In-Service Training & Recertification:

Every K9 sold includes lifetime free in-service training, and free yearly re-certification through Tarheel Canine Training Inc. Many of our agencies return for up to 3 days of in-service training per quarter (every 3 months) all at no further charge. Many trainers will charge you seperately for the handler course, in-service training contracts, and re-certification. With Tarheel Canine it is all included in the initial price.
