I thought the seminar was great. I’ve been decoying for my department’s K-9 team for approximately 1 year. I learned how to catch dogs properly to reduce injury to the dog and learned some other techniques but was never really told why I was doing what I was doing. The seminar helped teach the “why” and hopefully allow me to go back to my department and be a much improved decoy. Many of the problems addressed here are problems I see with our K-9’s so hopefully I can help the handlers correct those issues. I will be getting my own K-9 hopefully within the next few months and I will have a better understanding of how to work the dog now. No negative comments.
